The Future of Education
The article sited above is a recent article published by The Dispatch Argus. This article was published on the 29th of November, but recently just edited on the 30th of November. The author of the article Cala Smolt, she interviews parents, teachers, and others about not only the effects that remote learning has done on parents and teachers, but also how school districts in the area have been stepping up their game in the world of technology to enhance the students' learning abilities with tech. A super attendant discussed the barriers with families and how during remote learning with technology has affected parents and how the district and town found ways to get each student online whether it was through creating outdoor wireless spots and access in areas, including extending connections. Even the technology coordinator touched upon the difficulties and walls that they faced so that every child and family felt comfortable in their home or school or location to have their child learn. This article is important for teachers and school boards to read because this article touches upon the difficulties and how a town overcame the struggles that I am sure each town and district faced at one point in the beginning of the pandemic to try and get every student remote or have access to being able to learn remotely. I think this really opens up the eyes to many who may not have thought down this path with cooperating with even internet services through the town to get each student access.
